Do you go off of Initials, full name? What supporting elements do you bring in? This was what I entered senior year trying to solve.

From a young age I had used diekelmank for my social media and email, so I knew for sure to reference it somewhere for my contact information. But as a logo it was a bit messy! So I attempted to branch out.

Eventually I settled on the initials creating a spark counterform! Color
was the main struggle, as there was a mental split between cyan and
magenta. Ultimately I decided on magenta for that balance between
warmth and creatiivty.
